Income Tax Course 2026 - Terms & Conditions

By indicating that you have read and accepted the terms and conditions online prior to completing your registration, you are agreeing to the following in relation to the H&R Block Income Tax Course.

  • Students are to refer to the COURSE TYPE they have registered into as the Terms and Conditions as the Self-paced Course and Instructor Led Courses may differ.
  • All registered students must reside in Australia.
  • Access to the LMS deactivated for all students on 30TH JUNE 2026
  • Access to the Tax Software will be deactivated for all students registered in Instructor Led Courses on 30TH JUNE 2026
  • The total course fee of $299 includes a non-refundable $50 Registration Administration Fee, which covers processing and setup costs incurred by H&R Block. Please refer to our refund policy for your selected course option
  • All registration must be completed through our secure online payment system and must be made in the name of the attending student.
  • Tax Invoices cannot be reissued in another person’s name.
  • Third-party registrations, including those made by employers, are not permitted online. Registration will only be confirmed upon receipt and processing of full payment by H&R Block.
  • Upon confirmation of registration, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the course materials solely for your personal educational purposes.
  • Access to the Learning Management System will be sent within 72 business hours of registration. NOTE: Only Module One will be available until two weeks prior to your scheduled start date.
  • Sharing login credentials for the Learning Management System or the Student Tax Software is strictly prohibited. Any breach of this policy will result in immediate termination of access to course materials, without eligibility for a refund.
  • Students are strictly prohibited from distributing, reproducing, transmitting, or translating any course materials without prior written authorisation from H&R Block.
  • Access to the Student Tax Software will be provided exclusively to students who are registered in any Instructor Led Courses who remain actively enrolled and will be made available at the designated point later in the course.
  • Access to the Student Tax Software will not be provided to students registered into the Self-paced learning course.
  • Course Fee does not include access to Laptops, WIFI, Printing or other technological equipment.
  • Our team is available to assist with basic troubleshooting; however, we do not provide technical support for student’s individual devices.

TRANSFERRING BETWEEN INSTRUCTOR LED COURSE OPTIONS: Given the structured nature of our course offerings, requests to transfer between the 12-week and 7-week formats will not be accommodated after Thursday, 19 February 2026.

WITHDRAWING BEFORE INSTRUCTOR LED COURSE COMMENCES - REFUND POLICY: 

  • Students wishing to withdraw, must submit a written notification via email to students@hrblock.com.au
  • Students wishing to withdraw before the course commences will be entitled to a full refund of the fee as paid less the $50 Admin Charge.
  • Any refunds will be issued to the original credit card used at the time of registration.

Your course is deemed to have commenced either from the activation of your LMS account OR:

  • for 12-week course students, on 21 February 2026,
  • for 7-week Accelerated course students, 28 March 2026.

Students who receive any portion of their fee refunded will also be deactivated from the Learning Management System.

INSTRUCTOR LED COURSE: WITHDRAWING AFTER COURSE COMMENCES - REFUND POLICY

Students wishing to withdraw once the deemed course start date as listed above will not be entitled to any refund.

Students withdrawing after the course has commenced:

  • Will continue to have access to the Learning Management System until 30 June 2026 so they can continue learning at their own pace.
  • Students withdrawing after the tax software access has been activated, will be deactivated immediately.

If a student’s originally registered class is cancelled by H&R Block prior to the commencement of the course and no suitable alternative workshop location is available, a full refund of the course fee, including the non- refundable $50 Administration Fee, will be issued.

Students registered in either the Instructor Led IN-CLASS or ONLINE courses agree that they will be attending the same weekly instructor-led workshops as selected on registration.

Requests to move to an alternate class will only be considered on a permanent basis.

If no contact or notification is submitted to Training Coordination Team to advise of the reason for absence, students will be considered to have withdrawn after two consecutive weeks of non-attendance, but will:

  • Continue to have access to the Learning Management System until 30 June 2026 so they can continue learning at their own pace.
  • They will also be deactivated from the tax software access.


Students that originally registered into the Self-Paced Learning course wishing to withdraw, must submit a written notification via email to students@hrblock.com.au.

SELF-PACED LEARNING COURSE: Withdrawing before Learning Commencement Date

  • Students wishing to withdraw before the course commences will be entitled to a full refund of the fee as paid less the $50 ADMIN Charge.
  • Your course is deemed to have commenced on 21 February 2026.

SPL Students who receive any portion of their fee refunded will also be deactivated from the Learning Management System immediately.

SELF-PACED LEARNING COURSE: Withdrawing after deemed Learning Commencement Date

  • Students wishing to withdraw once the course has been deemed commenced, will not be entitled to a refund.
  • Your course is considered to have commenced on 21 February 2026, even if you registered after this date.
  • Withdrawn students will continue to have access to all the content available on the Online Learning Management Platform until 30 June 2026.
  • If the Self-Paced Learning Course is cancelled by H&R Block prior to the training course commencing, we agree to refund the full fee including the registration fee component.

H&R Block reserves the right to offer special promotions throughout the registration period and to remove the same at their discretion.

  • Students who register through promotional offers, referral programs, or regional scholarship initiatives are not permitted to transfer to another class at any point during the course.
  • Students who have already registered for the course are not eligible to apply special promotions retroactively.

All other conditions apply as per the REFUND POLICY.

Offer is only available where both Referrer and Referred friend are registered in Instructor Led Course Options.

Referring students can earn unlimited $100 gift cards for each qualifying student they refer.

  • New students who register under any discounted promotion or regional scholarship are also eligible to participate in the Bring a Friend Promotion.
  • By submitting their friend’s email address, the referrer acknowledges that they have obtained the friend’s consent to use their email for the Income Tax Course referral program and acknowledges that they have read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
  • To qualify, referred students must complete their registration using the referral link provided in the official invitation email from H&R Block. Registrations submitted through other referral methods will not be accepted.

BRING A FRIEND OFFER: GIFTCARD QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Both the referrer and the referee must attend and complete the full course (pass or fail) to qualify.
  • Gift cards are sent to successful referrers in June 2026.
  • Gift Card Limit: Each qualifying referred student is eligible for only one gift card awarded to the referrer. In cases where multiple individuals refer the same student, the gift card will be awarded to the first referrer.
  • Non-Transferable Gift Cards: Gift cards are issued exclusively to the registered student and are not transferable, redeemable for cash, or payable by any alternative method. They will be delivered electronically to the email address provided at the time of registration.

In addition to successfully completing the course, we are always actively searching for people that have good availability during July to October, that exhibit excellent people’s skills and achieve an overall course mark of 80% or higher.

  • Positions for Tax Season 2026 will be communicated to successful applicants in early June 2026 and are subject to availability across our network of more than 400 offices. To locate your nearest H&R Block office, please use the Office Locator tool available on our website.
  • All positions are for in-office roles. We do not offer any working from home positions.
  • All interested and actively enrolled students in any of our Instructor-Led Course options will have the opportunity to submit an expression of interest. Those who meet the eligibility criteria may be invited to attend an interview.
  • Applicants must live in Australia and will be screened for eligibility including any conflict of interest and visa status.
  • Successful students must be available for (and attend) the June Pre-Tax Season training, which is a paid training program. Details of the June Training Program will be offered only to successful students.

Registration or participation in the course is not to be deemed an offer of employment.

The fee paid on registration for the 2026 Income Tax Course will be FULLY REFUNDABLE to students who are contracted by H&R Block and who meet all the following eligibility:

  • Must have attended and completed all prescribed June Preseason training.
  • Must have commenced employment with H&R Block from 1 July at the latest.
  • Should not have availed any annual leave or time off in July or August and no more than 2 weeks across September to mid-October.
  • Must be available to work until 31 October as confirmed or required by the Office or District Manager, based on original availability at the commencement of Tax Season (1 July).
  • Should have completed a minimum of 50 tax returns during the period 1 July - 31 October.

Refund Processing:

  • Early November 2026 for all qualifying students.
  • Registration for the Income Tax Course is non-transferable and must be completed in the name of the attending student.
  • H&R Block does not guarantee that the Income Tax Course will be offered in all locations or in its current format in future years; therefore, deferment is not available.
